Seek new tasks. The problem of having a low level of visibility in the company can often stem from the worker never going above and beyond their immediate job duties, and thus never being noticed by their superiors. And on top of not being noticed, bosses also will never know how capable the worker is at taking on more responsibilities and projects, their reliability and drive – all the things that are required if one is to take on a promotion. So, to counteract a low visibility, the worker can simply ask their boss for additional assignments, specifically projects that are out of the scope of their regular duties. For instance, they can volunteer to organize company charity events or picnics, or else look to take on small work-related projects such as how to improve the workplace setting.
